Transforming some of the areas' Green deserts into wildlife rich sites, creating habitat and species resiliance by connecting existing biodiverse sites to a wider network. - Undertaking practical management in the parks to increase the ecological potential of the sites.- Delivering a programme of events designed to engage the local and wider community, encouraging them to access green space whilst educating about the natural environment and best practice back at home.

Responsible for providing comprehensive information and advice to students relating to all aspects of University life.I am a trained Mental Health First Aider and I work with many students who have a range of Physical Disabilities as well as Mental Health conditions. It is very important that situations are treated with great sensitivity and confidentiality whilst ensuring safeguarding practices are met.

- Lead the practical delivery of Portland’s Living Landscapes Programme, restoring limestone grassland and improving access and interpretation for visitors. - Recruit, train and supervise conservation volunteer groups.- Write reports to be used for grant claims and keep relevant steering groups and partners up to date. - Establishing grazing schemes to sites across Portland.- Be responsible for interpretation and visitor management within the Portland Quarries Nature Park.- Foster good relations with the local community and landowners. Be a main contact and spokesperson for Dorset Wildlife Trust’s work on Portland.

- Patrolling Poole's Heathlands. - Delivering strategic access management and information to site users to mitigate the effects of urban pressures on Heathland reserves. - Working closely with Dorset Police and DWFS relating to anti social behaviour on sites. - Facilitating and training work experience placements.- Leading volunteer work parties on the heath. - Creating, organising and leading social events on sites across Poole.- Leading Wellbeing walks weekly for those referred by GP, recovering from physical and mental illness. - Minor repairs on site when required. - Lookering - ensuring well being of the cattle & ponies that graze certain sites. - Assisting with cattle handling and moves across Dorset.

- Practical land management tasks on sites to enhance both conservation & recreational value. - Creating and carrying out wildlife and people surveys to assist in management plans, collate data and contribute to County records. - Working with volunteer parties and schools to engage and educate.- Act as the Council’s specialist and representative in terms of Strategic Access Management and Monitoring working.- Representing CEDC at meetings with other partners such as other local authorities, Dorset Wildlife Trust, Dorset Police and Dorset Fire & Rescue.- Working closely with Dorset Police & Fire & Rescue, reporting crimes, supporting them in the event of a fire, advising them of access routes and unlocking gates, media management, people control, evidence gathering etc.- Monitoring and promoting the conservation and biodiversity of the countryside and open spaces through education, engagement, events.- Sourcing external funding for investments.

Contracted through Dorset Wildlife Trust, working full time on a Project that aims to restore/preserve the limestone grassland on Portland. Work involves the treatment of invasive species, scrub clearing, assisting work parties, documenting progress month by month, capturing photographs and videos and assisting in compiling these for a final portfolio once the project comes to a close.

A full time training course that provided me with the opportunity to learn a large variety of practical and ID skills as well as gain an understanding of site management plans whilst working closely alongside one of Dorset Wildlife's trust's head wardens.
