I started the dissertation project "Distributivity and Monotonicity", which investigates the empirical evidence towards treating distributivity as a discourse component as suggested in Dynamic Plural Predicate Logic (van den Berg 1996, Nouwen 2003, Brasoveanu 2008). The critical evidence that this conception of distributivity is desirable comes from distributive numerals, which I show have a monotonicity component that tracks the size of the plurality contributed by distributivity.An extended goal of the project is to show that the interactions between distributivity as a discourse plurality and the monotonicity constraint shed light on a host of previously poorly understood distributivity-related inferences.

-Co-instructing advanced undergraduate seminar courses (Spring 2018)-Developing students' research skills, analytical skills, and capacity to synthesize prior knowledge from other linguistics courses-Supervising student projects that can be ultimately turned into posters presented at departmental and university-wide events. -Teaching introductory linguistics courses to undergraduate students as the sole instructor (Spring 2015, Fall 2017)-Receiving 4+ course evaluation scores (out of 5)-Lectures included topics in theoretical linguistics, such as: cognitive revolution, nativism, language cognition, form-meaning mapping in natural language, morphology, phonetics, phonology, syntax, semantics, pragmatics, neurolinguistics, and psycholinguistics.-Lectures included topics in applied linguistics, such as: corpus linguistics, computational linguistics, speech synthesis, and natural language processing.
