📺 A senior member of the On-Air Presentation team, I am responsible for the overall co-ordination and output of ITV1 - the flagship channel and cornerstone of the UK's #1 Commercial Television Network - including 20 associated regional markets and affiliates across England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Channel Islands. 🤝Building cross-departmental relationships and working closely with a variety of stakeholders, I work to bring the efforts of Scheduling, Channel Management, Live Production teams (ITV Daytime / News / Sport), Commercial Sales, Media Planning, Live Continuity and Access Services together with internal departments such as MCR, Media Management & Ingest, to execute an error free transmission on behalf of Red Bee within their Managed Services sector.📡 A key contributor in ITV's War Games - I help to lead the crisis management, planning and simulation exercises from the TX side of the talkback, performed ahead of any high profile sporting tournament commencing (eg; FIFA World Cup, EUROS, Rugby World Cup). 📣 I have also been responsible for the output of several Breaking News and Open-ended programme interruptions, with rolling reports on critical events of national importance such as terror attacks, elections and Royal events such as the death of Prince Philip, HM The Queen's funeral and the King's Coronation.🤓 FUN FACT: No stranger to transmitting programmes attracting high viewership, my record currently stands at 26.6 Million viewers for the England vs Croatia World Cup Semi Final 2018 - more viewers than the entire population of my home country, 🇦🇺Australia!

📺 Returning to the Public Service Broadcast arena , I joined the ITV team in Chiswick Park, where I was accountable for the seamless and continual output of all scheduled elements across the portfolio of ITV digital services (HD/SD/+1/BB) for ITV2, ITVBe & ITV4. 📡 Responsible for the transmission of high-profile live programs, I worked across across a variety of productions, including popular reality (Love Island, I’m a Celebrity, BGT) and major sporting events (French Open Tennis, Tour de France, Football & Rugby World Cup tournaments)👩‍💻 Throughout 2015 & 2016, I was given the unique opportunity to contribute on several of the ITV Commissioned Projects, including resourcing and training for the ITV Technical Refresh, UAT for the TEC Suite build & the Channel Migration of UTV from Belfast to Chiswick Park.🤓 FUN FACT: Invited to Wembley in 2015 for a visit with the ITV Sports OB, we were granted permission to go pitch-side and watch England triumph over Lithuania 3-0, from immediately behind the photo pit ⚽️🇬🇧

✈️ Fresh off the plane from Australia, this was my first role in a UK Transmission environment. Rather different than working in-house for a Network, Technicolor was a Service Provider managing the playout contract for the NBC Universal & SyFy Channels for EMEA. 👩‍🏫 A period of great development, being exposed to new methods of transmission, learning a new automation system (Morpheus) and the various operational workflows, including language wrapping - a concept which was new to me, but imperative in the transmission of the various European channels we were responsible for besides the UK, such as France, Poland, Russia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Greece and Romania.🌍 Part of the team conducting the UAT for the LATAM project, I gained experience in the processes of channel migration and acceptance testing, as we implemented the service for four Latin American channels transported to the UK from Denver, Colorado.🤓 FUN FACT: During my time in the NBCU suite and tuning into the difference between each country's audio wrapping, I have learned how to say "Cheers" in multiple languages across the EMEA region - the most unique being Hungarian! 🍻

👩‍🏫 Having developed a solid foundation in asset management and operational workflows, I was promoted into my first on-air TX role, in which I was responsible for all aspects of Transmission across Seven Network’s portfolio of five capital city metro markets and regional affiliates (PRIME & 7QLD). 🖲 I was involved in the testing, training and successful migration of their automation system (Thomson to Harris D-Series), ahead of the Network launching it’s first nationwide digital services (7TWO & 7MATE).🕙 A unique element to this role was the multiple time zones present throughout the country, which required specialised coordination to address the resulting challenges during nationwide live, high viewership sporting events (eg: Olympic Games, Australian Open Tennis, AFL) and programme interruptions for major breaking world news (Chilean Miners Rescue, Japan Tsunami, NZ Earthquakes).🤓 FUN FACT: When Seven acquired the rights for the Australian franchise of X-Factor in 2010, myself and another three colleagues formed a 'Presentation Supergroup' where we successfully competed in the Staff X-Factor evening, put on to launch the series within the network. Judged by celebrity presenters and network newsreaders, our win scored us an invitation to perform on stage at the 2010 Christmas Party! 🎶🎤🎄

✅️ Joining the Presentation Department in my first permanent, full time television role, I was responsible for the QC & Ingest of all interstitial and long form assets on server prior to TX, ensuring technical accuracy & compliance with broadcasting standards. 💿 Accountable for Network Promos, Commercials, late delivery News Updates and back up recordings of all live productions for delay markets. Covering for extended leave, I also acted up to manage the VCD production of Network programmes for the Sales & Publicity departments, along with the historical ingest of long form assets into the DIVA archive servers.

🎬 Continuing my quest to break into the Australian Television industry, and reflecting on what I enjoyed most throughout University, I turned my attention to editing and, following some volunteer shifts to demonstrate my technical and creative aptitude, I secured a freelance position within the news department, working alongside camera crew and journalists to edit video packages and ULAYs for the network’s nightly programmes – TEN Eyewitness News and Sports Tonight. 🎞 This position evolved, when TEN embarked on a digital upgrade, to incorporate News Transfers – focussing on ingesting raw footage from camera tapes, recording post-match sports pressers, satellite feeds and international news pool feeds into a centrally accessible server, along with clipping up the completed news packages into a TX ready playlist prior to on-air. 🤓 FUN FACT: Network TEN was also the place the 15 year old me completed my high school work experience programme, spending two weeks learning all areas of a live studio operation on their flagship daytime production, Good Morning Australia. Hosted by Australian television icon, Bert Newton, he often liked to throw mid-segment to surprise me on camera and have an on-air chat. At the end of the two week stint, I was presented with a souvenir of my time on the show - a VHS showreel of all my appearances on National TV!

🎓 Straight out of University and struggling to find an open door into my chosen field of Broadcast, I began my retail career with Sussan as a full time Fashion Sales Advisor – a kind of ‘bread and butter’ job, whilst I continued to pursue opportunities in the Australian television landscape.🛍 Being naturally people focussed and visually creative, it was a well-suited role that I quickly adopted and, as a person who thrives on making the most of every opportunity, I embarked on progressing within the company, upskilling in multiple areas including customer facing sales on the shop floor, visual merchandising, re-branding and store presentation alongside business, stock, and people management. 👗 It was an unexpected career diversion that resulted in me being succession planned through several roles from Second-in-Charge, Deputy Manager and further onto Store Management of various store gradings / turnover. The last position I held was as Flagship Store Manager at Bourke Street, Melbourne – leading a team of approximately 40 staff across 2 sites and achieving an annual turnover exceeding AUD $6 Million. This was the number one ranked store in the company, which comprised over 270 stores throughout Australia & New Zealand.🤓 FUN FACT: In the 1980’s, Sussan launched a television advert with accompanying jingle “This Goes with That” - a phrase that quickly became synonymous with the brand amongst the Australian public of all genders and generations. To this day, it remains one of the country’s most successful and long running marketing campaigns (....you can see the ad in the link below! 📺)
