Residency Education Coordinator
Current• Manage the education of residents and fellows by developing curriculum, schedules, simulations, and evaluations to ensure that graduates are well-prepared to enter their desired field• Analyze monthly and yearly evaluation results with program directors to determine areas for improvement to enhance the educational experience for all learners by generating new ideas for curriculum and lectures• Serve as a support system for residents and fellows by developing wellness and team-building activities, assisting with presentations, providing career guidance, and connecting learners to appropriate resources• Plan and execute all major events for the departments, including orientation, graduation, team-building events, leadership development, and faculty development• Develop and implement recruitment strategies, design an online presence for virtual recruitment, organize and manage recruitment activities for an average of 40 residency applicants and 20 fellowship applicants, and collect and analyze data following the recruitment process for long-term planning• Analyze routine processes to note deficiencies and implement methods to improve efficiency and effectiveness and connect with other departments to determine best practice• Network with local, state, and national healthcare organizations to find job opportunities and continuing education opportunities for residents and fellows• Support departmental research initiatives and connect physicians with continuing education opportunities• Develop and maintain the residency and fellowship websites and social media accounts• Manage fellowship budget to plan educational, departmental, and recruitment activities• Maintain program compliance with accreditation standards set by the ACGME and the CODA
