About Jessica Nylund
With a background in Media technology and Japanese studies, I went on to graduate from the eCommerce Business program at the university of Hyper Island in Stockholm, Sweden. After graduating I worked within e-commerce marketing, after which I moved on to work as the Director of Customer Success at Tictail (later acquired by Shopify), where we strove to become the world's most used and loved e-commerce platform.After my years within e-commerce, my life took a different path towards goldsmithing. Educated in metalsmithing and jewelry design at Konstskolan Stockholm, I continued my journey as a goldsmith apprentice, most recently at Blue Dove, in Tokyo, Japan. Now running my own small-scale business for handmade jewelry (Jessica Nylund Jewelry). I am passionate about both jewelry-making and technology/e-commerce, and have found that working across fields that align with my interests keeps me motivated and engaged, and allows me to gain a broader perspective and develop more versatile problem-solving skills, which are valuable assets both to me, and to my employer.
