o Responsible for connecting with students from 18 states in the midwestern United Stateso Conducts briefs for audiences ranging from 45 to 200, interview applicants, and provide forums for Coast Guard Academy process, cadet life, and Coast Guard career options.

o Command representative responsible for all Coast Guard response activities throughout, leading a 24-hour emergency dispatch watch team.o Initiate investigation and coordinates tactical execution of all hazard response with emphasis on Search and Rescue, Marine Environmental Pollution, Marine Safety, Ports and Waterways Coastal Security, Living Marine Resources, and Aids to Navigation throughout expansive and complex area of operation of 1700 nautical miles.o Search and Rescue Planner; managing Coast Guard afloat/airborne platforms and coordinates with public safety partners to optimize response/achieve variable mission objectives.

o Responsible for the safe navigation of the cutter in domestic and international waters, during Search and Rescue cases, interdiction of Alien Migrants, and high speed narcotics interdictions.o Assistant Navigator: Preparation for safe navigation of all 1K-ton ship movements, managed associated equipment, property, records, ship logs, drafts/reviewed navigation briefs and maintained $30K annual budget.o Administrative/Supply Department Head: Managed annual budget of $400K and all logistic arrangements for the ship to include: lodging, food and medical care for members. Accountable for all procurement, personnel, security, supply and administration of the cutter with 85-person crew.
