As the Director of Public Services at McFarlin Library, I led and managed a team of 10 professional staff plus student workers who provide essential library services to the University of Tulsa community. With an MLIS degree and over 12 years of library management experience, I have the skills and knowledge to oversee all library operations including interlibrary loan, access/circulation services, reference, research, and instruction, as well as to prepare monthly reports, represent the library to stakeholders, and serve on various committees and councils.I am also a combat medic in the Army National Guard, where I have served for over 10 years, providing medical support in rapidly changing environments with limited resources. This experience has taught me how to work effectively and efficiently with others in high-stress situations, and how to adapt and innovate in challenging circumstances. I am passionate about fostering lifelong learning, research, and discovery, and I value collaboration, innovation, and excellence. I am always eager to learn new skills and improve my performance, and I have completed certifications in operational excellence and managing career burnout. I am looking for my next challenge where I can apply my leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to make a positive impact.
