Position Summary:The purpose of this role is to provide leadership to expand the Alzheimer’s Association’s program delivery and growth strategy to reach more people with volunteer-delivered programs, especially in new, underrepresented and rural communities. The position is responsible to ensure staff, volunteers and community partners are aligned in delivering programs that are culturally appropriate and reach all communities while adhering to Association’s programs and brand standards. Position is measured through successful completion of Strategic Implementation Plan KPI, growth goals and benchmarks.

As Manager of Walk to End Alzheimer’s, I get to join an exclusive team of leaders responsible for the implementation of Walk to End Alzheimer’s®, the world’s largest fundraiser for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Walk to End Alzheimer’s® ranks as the second-largest peer-to-peer fundraising event in the United States, and continues to set the pace as one of the fastest growing walk events in the country. I manage the Council Bluffs, Harlan and Sioux City Walks as well as development strategy for 28 counties in those Walk areas.I utilize proven networking and relationship building skills to cultivate key community connections, I drive success and achieve revenue goals by strategically identifying and engaging community and corporate leaders. I build and empower sustainable volunteer committees, advisory boards and fundraisers/memorial funds to the Association. I am the fundraising leader who will manage multiple peer to peer fundraising events annually, generate excitement and enthusiasm in the community for Walk to End Alzheimer’s. I get the privilege of coaching and inspiring volunteers to implement and build on proven strategies/best practices that result in event growth year over year. I am honored to be a dementia resource for families, like my own, fighting for a cure to End Alzheimer's and other dementia. 💜

As Account Executive, I was the social butterfly that traveled to Mills, Cass, Harrison and Pottawattamie counties in Southwest Iowa teaching preventative health, providing information on home health services, and raising awareness to our Behavioral Health specialty programs. My goal was to help adults that meet homebound status by reducing hospitalizations, increasing health education, as well as promoting good mental and physical health to our community. I worked with nurses, therapists, social workers, and providers that truly do act as guardian angels to their patients on a daily basis. I am proud to have been awarded the 2019 Account Executive Newcomer of the Year for Angels Care Home Health Council Bluffs. 2021 was a great year for our team and we were able to celebrate with 2021 Platinum Level Producer, Top AE for Quarter 3 and Quarter 4, and coolest of all 2021 Account Executuve of the Year! As a Senior Living Consultant, I had the privilege of working with families one on one to find the best fit for their loved one with memory loss needs. I participated in Council Bluffs community organizations like Council Bluffs Business Connection, Southwest Iowa Networking Group, Alzheimer's Association Walk Committee as Marketing Chair and Optimist Club of Council Bluffs Past President. I educated the public on what we do for our residents and their families as well as other healthcare professionals. Dementia is not easy and it does take compassion, patience, and a creative mind to be able to keep up with their evolving mind. I am happy to help with marketing efforts, social media updates, Sherpa CRM data entry, and support group opportunities. I enjoy event planning for professionals and community members for events that teach more about what we can do for memory care residents and also build relationships with residents on a daily basis for the days we have together.

At the Foundation, I was responsible for helping fundraise money for cancer patients and charity projects throughout the year along with many other donor relation opportunities.My biggest responsibility was donor relations and I continuously updated Raiser's Edge database that coordinates accounting, tax, and personal information on ten different fund accounts.I was in charge of keeping up with our social media and website upkeep for the foundation and over 20 events that we coordinate per year.I was in charge of upkeep of Foundation Board of Director meetings, agendas, and communication for major fundraising efforts.I have learned event planning logistics for events from small to large like auctions, gala reservations, public awareness events for diabetes and cancer, along with technology and program softwares to implement event planning logistics.I coordinated Employee Ambassador Wellness program, Hidden Halo Grateful Patient Program, Healing Garden Project, Angel Tree Program, Employee Giving Campaign, and many other projects for the hospital.

As Sales Director, I was responsible for upkeep on lead contacts, community outreach, and spreading the word about how great Primrose is! I was able to tell others about all the extraordinary services we provide to seniors that are looking for a home away from home that has been #1 in Council Bluffs every years since 2010! This role gives me the ability to network with external referral sources, connect with prospects on a personalized level, and truly enrich the lives of the seniors that decide that 'this is living!'

As a Certified Nursing Assistant, I was responsible for providing assistance to Assisted Living residents with their Activities of Daily living. Some examples of the cares I provided include ambulating, bathing, transferring, dressing, laundry, and learning how to make Primrose a home away from home with a personal touch of compassion.

As Executive Assistant, I helped with office duties under the Executive Director. I was in charge of helping keep the billing system organized, helping with Marketing affairs, showing prospective tenants on a tour around our beautiful facility, personalizing the experience of living in assisted or independent apartments, motivating our outstanding staff with goal oriented personality, and providing that helpful smile to our Primrose family.

As a Customer Service Representative at Hy-Vee, I was responsible for large amounts of money, money transfers, receiving payments of utilities from customers, sending out postage through USPS, sold lottery, and answering to customers' needs with a helpful smile in every aisle. I was promoted from Health and Beauty clerk to Customer Service, and was able to do nine different positions at Hy-Vee.

As a volunteer at Jennie, I found out that the healthcare field was something that just fit for me. I really enjoyed volunteering my time to others by educating patients on safety precautions, refilling linens, and maintaining their comfort as much as I possibly could. I helped organize a program to fundraise money for our Breast Cancer Awareness through a dress drive for local girls to buy cheap dresses for formals that were donated by people in the community. Volunteering is something that shaped my future and helped so many others in the process.
