I work with the council to write up policies and create recommendation to protect the voice of Foster youth around the nation. As a council we work with the Administration of Children and Families and the Children's Bureau.

Saint Peter, Minnesota

During my internship, I followed several social workers in the Children and Families Unit. I worked with Social workers in children's mental health and child protection. I also got to work with the Nicollet County daycare and foster care licensures. I went on several visits and conducted my own interviews. I have worked with Nicollet County's computer system, SSIS. I supervised visits and drove clients to appointments. During my time at Nicollet, I taught a couple cooking lessons to a client who needed assistance on making her child gain weight and sat on several court cases.

Ames, Iowa

I assisted with getting information out to the foster teens about life skills. I arranged, speakers, study sessions, workshops about being resisilent, sexual relationships, and etc. I was also a mentor for some foster youth

Seaside, Oregon

During this internship I was trained to be a leader amongst other foster youth around the nation. My group of Allstar interns held panels, conferences, and presented workshops in front of foster youths, social workers, state officials, and etc to inform them about youth rights.

Decorah, Iowa

Internship in all areas of the hospital, but mainly hospice care and insurance. (social work)

Austin, Minnesota

During my time at REM, I assisted mentally disabled men. My co-workers and I assisted them with their morning showers/baths, cooking, cleaning, and evening activities. I have supervised overnight shifts and gotten them ready for work. I help superivse their daily life and transport them wherever they need to go.
