About Jessica Haar

Born and raised in Belleville, IL and being right outside the city of St. Louis, I have seen a lot of culture and inspiration all in one place that has influence on my designs. I graduated from Webster University with a BA in Advertising/Marketing Communications and a Minor in Film Studies. I have a passion for design and am extremely dedicated to my work. Throughout my career, I have been able to build and challenge myself as a designer and grow into a leader with important responsibilities. I am always looking to expand my skills in advertising and graphic design.

Every day I am challenged with a new project that allows me to enhance my skills and learn new techniques. This job is near and dear to my heart because I get to promote where I grew up.

    My job at BFM Group started out as an internship and quickly grew into a full time position as an art director. From flyers to direct mail to promotional products, I learned many new design techniques and worked on projects that challenged my skills. While I mainly did graphic design work I was also the social media coordinator. I worked on numerous digital campaigns and was given more and more opportunities to use my understanding of social media to further the company.

    My internship at Glance Creative was my first opportunity in the real world of advertising and graphic design. It was a great opportunity to learn and ask questions related to my field. The creative team was very open to teaching me. At Glance I was able to work on projects on my own from beginning to end while also being able to work with the customers and their needs. Glance was also an in-house printer so I had the chance to learn the basics of print production which was extremely helpful going into my next job. It was the perfect beginning to my career in graphic design and advertising and I benefited greatly from the experience.
