Strong arts and creative professional with a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Nonfiction from the University of King's College. Experienced writer and interdisciplinary artist with a demonstrated history working both in fundraising and commercially.Skilled in Creative Writing, Editing (Structural, Copy, Proofreading) Teaching, Content Creation, Floristry, Design, Gardening, Organizational Development, Development Writing, Blogging, Social Media, Communications, and Project Management. I predominantly write narrative nonfiction, essays and poetry. Themes include: identity, art, creativity, family, friendship, the natural world, memory, love and grief. I’m fascinated by the ineffable found in ordinary life, which often appears in art unexpectedly. Previously, I was the founder and creative director of an ecological design studio called A FINE MEDLEY. I used my work in floristry and the botanical arts to study our relationship to beauty, play, production and the natural world. I collaborated and farmed flowers in Southern Ontario, championing regenerative agricultural practices. My designs and interviews were published in Green Living Magazine, Flower House Detroit, The Hamilton Spectator, KOTN journal and elsewhere. Before this, I spent almost a decade working with nonprofits. I advocated for independent, emerging and marginalized artists through community organizing, content creation, partnerships, campaigns and workshops. I’m the recipient of a 2019 Hamilton Short Works Prize for literary nonfiction and I am in The Writers' Union of Canada. A 2020 prose piece on Lake Ontario was featured on the Unsalted Great Lakes podcast and my poem EMERG E was published in Wayzgoose 2022. I have forthcoming work in Bad Artist Anthology (2024) and Alchemical Afternoon showcasing at Toronto's Contact Photography Festival (May 2023).

Lead/ Project PartnerClothing Swap Fundraiser Oct 2009 - Feb 2010York University & The Junction, Toronto OnIn the winter of 2010 my project partner and I organized a clothing swap fundraiser to help create awareness about anti-human trafficking initiatives in Canada and across the GTA. The funds went to an International Charity called 'Not for Sale" and all the extra clothing was donated to Street Haven, which is a local women's shelter in Toronto. The purpose of this event was to encourage dialogue in local communities, promote ethical shopping practices and get people thinking about how we are connected on local-to-global level in daily activities from attire, food to our large scale economies of trade.
