Supervising a team of environmental specialists and process coordinators, I am responsible for executing compliance with Title V, Class II, Mercury Operating Permits and various waste management practices at the Nevada Gold Mines Cortez Operation.

-Primarily responsible for the implementation, management and continuous improvement of the air quality and fugitive dust control program for Teck Coal Business Unit Operations -Lead five mining operations in coordinating, researching and developing best management practices -Manage and coordinate air related projects through all project planning stages; including budget approvals and tracking, initiation, regulatory approvals, planning, execution and implementation -Supervise and review various works by contractors and consultants -Evaluate existing and implement additional monitoring equipment; including training and data management components for the success of the monitoring program-Leader for transitioning Teck Coal Business Unit Operations from ISO 14001:2004 to ISO14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems -Execute inspections and implement corrective and preventative action to remedy environmental risks -Manage and coordinate various environmental related projects through all project planning stages; including budget approvals and tracking, initiation, regulatory approvals, planning, execution and implementation-Prepare technical reports and memorandums for regulatory and corporate reporting requirements-Prepare and communicate reports and presentations for public, regulatory and site engagement -Maintain compliance with permits issued under various BC Acts and Regulations related to air, water and waste through various tracking tools, collaborating with various departments and providing training-Prepare and review technical documentation to support permit applications to meet objectives of the operation -Coordinate and manage data for submissions to Greenhouse Gas Reporting and National Pollutant Release Inventory -Supervise and develop an environmental co-operative student and environmental technician -Participate in safety discussions and lead by example to ensure zero injuries in the workplace

-Maintain compliance with permits issued under the BC Environmental Management Act, BC Mines Act related to air, water and waste through various tracking tools, collaborating with various departments and providing training-Primarily responsible for the implementation, management and continuous improvement of the air quality and fugitive dust control program-Primarily responsible for the implementation, management and continuous improvement of the waste management program-Primarily responsible for the implementation, management and continuous improvement of the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System-Lead a group of general supervisors in various mine site departments to implement environmental management programs in their area-Collaborated with departments to generate site environmental objectives and tracked performance against them -Implement and manage permit required sampling and monitoring programs and associated data management-Lead implementation of and familiar with EQuIS data management program-Implement continual improvement projects to meet site sustainability objectives and work towards a sustainable mining practice-Coordinate and manage departmental data for submissions to Greenhouse Gas Reporting, Corporate Sustainability and National Pollutant Release Inventory -Prepare and communicate reports and presentations for public, regulatory and site engagement -Identifying potential or actual areas of non-compliance by completing site inspections and collaborating with other departments-Ensure works are conducted safely to ensure zero injuries in the workplace

-Execute permit required monitoring programs related to water, air and waste, broadening field and sampling skills-Compiled data for annual reporting on environmental performance to the Ministry of Environment, developing data analysis and presentation skills-Conducted an assessment on a heavy duty shop wash facility for compliance and recommended remediation methods; including project proposals and sample plans, improving problem solving and data assessment skills-Air permit monitoring (ambient and meteorological) and maintaining compliance-Effluent permit monitoring and maintaining compliance-Conducting quality control/quality assurance of field sample data-Conduct analysis and/or preparation of ad‐hawk data requests-Prepare and organize field sampling events-Collect and maintain data records for permit compliance-Organize and manage the EQuIS database-Ensure all works are conducted safely
