After graduating from the French Culinary Institute I began working as a pastry cook in NYC restaurants. A few years later, I realized that I wanted to pursue a more health-driven career. I began managing a vegan bakery while attending the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN). With my cooking skills and the knowledge that I gained from IIN, I started selling vegan food at local community wellness events and volunteering at my daughter's "Wellness in the Schools" program. I donated my time at a homeless youth drop-in center as a wellness consultant. At the drop-in, I taught the chef how to incorporate more healthy plant-based options while staying on budget. This is where I realized that I have the passion and skill set to teach families on a modest budget how to live healthier lives without breaking the bank.
