Jessica Lin is dedicated to solving problems for the greater good by developing products that make life easier for others, particularly those less fortunate. Ms. Lin is Principal Product Manager Tech for Amazon Alexa's Smart Energy team where she is defining the vision for how to leverage Amazon’s new smart thermostat and the Alexa device to reduce energy use and decrease the carbon footprint of residential energy customers.Previously, she was Group Product Manager for Oracle Energy and Water's Data Engineering teams for B2B behavioral energy efficiency SaaS products. She was responsible for the end to end lifecycle of a portfolio of data products such as scaling their appliance disaggregation and presence discovery data science models to millions of residential energy customers, their business intelligence and segmentation tools to measure the organization's success and the migrations of their backend cluster to the cloud. Prior to Oracle Energy and Water, Ms. Lin led teams of data scientists from National Labs for the U.S. Department of Energy to support Mission Innovation for the Obama Administration. Formerly, she developed strategies and frameworks that are leveraged throughout Latin America, the Caribbean and globally to grow innovative technology companies focused on lifting economies and mitigating climate change at the World Bank. She started her career in the private sector, working in finance and strategic management consulting, before serving as CEO and Head of Product for a wireless mesh technology social enterprise startup. Ms. Lin has served on the technical working group for end use load shapes for the National Renewable Energy Lab and on the advisory committee for the Multi-Objective Decision Planning (MOD-Plan) project at Pacific Northwest National Lab. Ms. Lin received her Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT and her Masters of Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School, where she had a fellowship for Social Entrepreneurship. Ms. Lin also volunteers with MIT and Harvard Admissions.Jessica Lin has been recognized for trailblazing and leadership. In 2021 and 2022 she was recognized as a rising star / global leader in CleanTech by Emerging Technology News. Ms. Lin has been recognized as an innovator and technology inventor with patents for her work in data science engineering from Oracle and various peer reviewed publications on decarbonization and energy affordability.A native of New York, Jessica now resides in Virginia Beach, VA.
