About Jessica Mathis

Stories have long been my obsession - a great book, addictive video game, or compelling song can easily pull me in. I've found effective storytelling can inspire people to experience new perspectives, build a community, and live more joyful lives.As a UX professional with over 6 years of research experience, my passion is rooted in understanding and championing user stories throughout the design process. I believe in leveraging Usability Research and Design Thinking to create cutting-edge experiences.Currently, I work at General Motors as a UX Researcher, evaluating and improving customer-facing experiences like the websites and mobile apps for Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac. I am also pursuing a Master of Science in Information Design and Strategy part-time at Northwestern University. I have a bachelor's degree in UX Design from the University of Michigan School of Information, where I first discovered and fell in love with UX.
