As a delivery driver I assisted the line cooks with taking products out of the oven and properly packaging them. I also had to follow a GPS and ensure all food was delivered to the correct address, on time, and in proper condition.

As a research assistant I went to a local reservoir once a month to collect water and soil samples to be tested for microplastics. Once the samples were collected, we brought them back to the lab where we would ensure most biological life was absent before inspecting the samples under a microscope camera apparatus. For three hours twice a week I counted the number of microplastic particles and broadly identified them. The plastic particles were isolated from the larger sample and sent to Penn State, University Park for precise identification. At the end of the internship I wrote a brief research paper on the subject of microplastics in water used for food and drink.

As the Executive Vice President of Lion Ambassadors I oversaw the organizations committees and appointed committee chairs. I also had to attend weekly executive board meeting to be sure the organization was meeting goals and expectations set by the advisor, executive board, and general members. I had to meet GPA requirements, give tours, attend fundraising, and community service events. During my time in the organization I had to talk to prospective and accepted students and educate them on the history of Penn State Altoona, as well as any questions they had about the college experience. I also had to assist with the planing of open houses and attend events put on by the community.

During my time as a student worker I had to cook for the University dining hall. I had to learn the different food stations and specifics of menu items to ensure I would be of use anywhere I was asked to be, and assist with any food allergies or preference. I also had to learn to manage my time between school, work, and studying.

North East, Maryland

As a camp counselor I helped the campers in my cabin follow their day to day schedule, while also teaching my own in ropes, sports, and helped in the kitchen. I had to ensure that campers were awake on time and went to bed at a decent hour. During free times I had to be aware of my campers location and ensure the camp rules were being followed.

As a Head Lifeguard I provided leadership and supervision for Lifeguards, monitored activities in the pool, and functions as a Lifeguard. I Participates in the selection, scheduling, and assigning of Lifeguard duties. I also gave instructions on pool operating procedures, chemical tests, rules, safety practices, maintenance, and related matters to ensure the safety of all patrons.
