MCEDD’s Executive Director acts as the chief executive officer and is responsible for the overall management of the fiscal, personnel, and policy functions of the agency. I joined MCEDD in 2008 as a Project Manager, was promoted to Deputy Director in 2017, and to Executive Director in March 2020. My most recent prior duties as Deputy Director included serving as the Executive Director of the Gorge Technology Alliance and managing the transportation division for MCEDD.

Led a professional trade association dedicated to supporting the technology community of the Gorge. Pulled partners together to problem-solve issues impacting the tech companies in a bi-state, five-county region. Managed membership and sponsorship, marketing and communications, event planning, finances and all aspects of running a small nonprofit. Coordinated initiatives to improve STEM education in the region.

White Salmon, Wa

Served as land use planner for a unique regional planning agency tasked with protecting the scenic, natural, cultural and recreational resources of the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. Wrote land use decisions for development in Klickitat County, WA and reviewed decisions for the other five counties in the Scenic Area. I also led the Future Forum, an initiative developing a shared 20-year community vision for the Scenic Area. This included conference planning, event management, meeting facilitation, plan writing and development, organizing a committee of regional partners, managing consultants and other tasks.
