I am a Clinical Nurse I in the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) at Children’s Hospital Colorado Anshutz Campus. As only one of the fifteen PICU in the nation to earn a Gold Beacon award, the PICU in Children’s Hospital Colorado Anshutz Campus is the only level one trauma center in the mid-western region. This MAGNET hospital has contributed to my growth and experience in caring for critically-illed children at the highest acuity setting.I am interested in working in then PICU because I strive to provide comfort and reassurance to critically-ill children while also providing them with the best medical care possible. My goal is to further my education and obtain a Doctorate’s in Nursing Practice (DNP) and practice as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the PICU setting.As an individual who prioritizes empathy and hard work, I am dedicated to providing top-quality patient service and supporting healthcare initiatives.
