I have worked a plethora of roles, from personal trainer, to crisis call taker, to recruitment and retention. In the end, my purpose is about amplifying voices and supporting others. My mission and values have always been that work can bring us meaning, purpose, and happiness, and that strong companies and organizations support this in their employees.Every job is about rapport, relationship, and connection. We need to amplify, empower, support our employees and our organizations.My master's in positive coaching taught me that even through stress we can tap into flow and provide our best selves through an elite performance. Stress does not have to hinder our output or productivity.I started working with collegiate athletes at Troy University, to help them focus during games and practice while managing the stresses of college. It was at Troy that I also worked with professors to study the strength of mental toughness as a proactive measure for training first responders in resilience. This comprised of talking with fighter pilots in training as they worked to get through high stress flying situations at their Air Force Bases. Life brought me to New Mexico, where ProtoCall extended me the opportunity to work as a crisis call taker. I used my experiences and expertise to support crisis call takers and ProtoCall's important mission, while also attracting and assessing top quality talent for resilience and focus during crisis situations.Back home in HTX, I found UTHealth Houston. My career journey came full circle. I support UTHealth Houston Behavioral Sciences Campus in staffing the growing John S. Dunn Behavioral Sciences Center Building. AND I get to learn from the top tier of academic and professional excellence every day.
