Being someone who excelled at math and science, is competitive with an attitude of “no challenge is too hard”, always thought marketing and sales fields would not be fulfilling. Soon after starting my first job in marketing, I found that my impression was wrong...very wrong! Within a few weeks, I found transitioning from complex math to forecasts, managing budgets and ad-hock reports fulfilled my nerd needs. Being introduced to savvier uses for Excel helped too and little did I know it would be a favorite for years to come. Once digital marketing was introduced to me, I was hooked. The technology, ongoing innovation, and the data! The need to learn everything possible about the tech, the channels and their dependencies was the new challenge. Immersing myself to learn lead to launching a website, setting up analytics and applying what I learned.After 10 years in digital marketing, I find myself more excited by innovation than 10 years ago. Complimenting my digital marketing skills with project and change management experience completes the journey a client takes when working with an agency. Rounding out my background with project and change management arms me with the ability to positively affect clients and employers to grow. The want to learn is will never be satisfied and continues to grow the list of technical proficiencies. I am eager for the next challenge or startup to be presented.
