Deputy Clerk
Current- Maintain court proceedings for a mixed docket of Traffic and Criminal Infractions and Misdemeanors. Create synergy between the City Prosecutor, Defense Counsel, Police Department, Sheriff Deputies, and Judge by providing all necessary paperwork and information in an anticipatory manner. Ensure the update of case dispositions in real time and any applicable incarceration and program information throughout court proceedings. - Issue judicial orders such as Capias/Bench Warrants and Show Cause. Creation and entry of case documentation including but not limited to Jail Cards, Competency Motions, Probation and ASAP Referrals, ROLs, Witness Subpoenas, Citizen Motions and Appeals.- Provide efficient, informative, and unbiased assistance to the general public. Assist with the payment of fines or payment plans, community service programs, DMV information and countless more inquiries. Keep up to date with changing laws and policies to ensure ever-accurate information is delivered. - Daily bookkeeping including the balancing and mass voucher entry of previous day court totals, disbursement of dues to state, monthly remittance to local governments, and a continual monitoring of EVPS attorney vouchers.
