My current interests involve computational research with microporous polymers and materials, specifically molecular dynamics. This is heavily reflected in my PhD project, the high throughput simulations of polymers.I have experience running computational calculations and visualisations using Python, HOOMD-blue, VMD, DL-POLY, GROMACS and Gaussian 09. I am a hard-working and committed student who can quickly adapt to new environments in and outside research. I am open to exploring new concepts reflected in my summer internships and part-time jobs. These roles, alongside my experience speaking in conferences, have allowed me to become a proficient public speaker and presenter.

Summer Research InternRoyal Society Of Chemistry Jul 2023 - Sep 2023Lancaster, England, United KingdomThe Royal Society of Chemistry funded a research internship to computationally compare the properties of graphite and the newly discovered amorphous, microporous polymer OSPC-1 as a lithium-ion battery anode.I regularly used the in-house software Ambuild, a software written in Python that integrates HOOMD-blue, to simulate two slab models for graphite and OSPC-1 in an electrolyte to observe the diffusion of lithium and see how the interaction between lithium would differ. Weekly, these findings would be presented to a team of academics and PhD students to evaluate and discuss how to progress further. -
Summer Research InternLancaster University Chemistry Department Jul 2022 - Aug 2022Lancashire, England, United KingdomThis project focused on the computational synthesis of amorphous, microporous polymers as an alternative anode material for lithium-ion batteries. The 'Gaussian 03' software was used throughout to study the stability of the polymer OSPC-1, and how it would interact with lithium when used as an anode. On a weekly basis, I would present the findings of this research to a team of academics who led the project, and would receive feedback on specific data in which to perform further research.
