I am currently the Principal Procurement Officer of the EdTech project. The purpose of this project is to provide all schools across Wales with new and updated technology, such as network infrastructure, end user devices, DEL connectivity and audio visual equipment. Caerphilly are the lead Authority for this project and work in conjunction with Welsh Government to deliver this service.

Blackwood

I worked for William Hill as part time Customer Service Assistant. My main duties within this role were to provide the customers with excellent customer service and to go above and beyond to meet their needs. I have worked in several different William Hill shops within the district and have taken part in promotional activities in Cardiff City Centre. I was often given the responsibility of managing the shop and single manning in the evenings.

Ystrad Mynach, Wales

As part of my University degree I undertook a one year work placement at Caerphilly County Borough Council as an Assistant Procurement Officer. My role within the procurement team was to work with the client departments to create tender documents, liaise with suppliers and assist them with completing tender documents, undertake tender evaluations and award contracts. I project managed some of the tender processes myself with support from other members of the team. I also assisted on larger scale projects, such as the building of a new school within Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Blaenau Gwent

I undertook this role as well as my current position in William Hill to gain extra work experience over the summer. I worked with team members of the Genesis Project, which is a government funded project, which provides training and child care costs to those trying to find employement within Blaenau Gwent. One of the tasks I undertook was contacting participants to gain information in preparation for an audit. I also assisted with events that went on inside the centre, such as 'When I grow up I want to be'. This event was focused in attempting to get unemployed members of the community back into work or training.
