Maintain information and information management systems and teams in support of ISO and WHS requirements for Copper SA

While improving day to day operations at Olympic Dam for the Southern Mining Area (SMA), I am also part of a team that looks to help achieve long term goals by completing capital justifications, long term strategy and providing and analysing data regarding bottlenecks. In addition I am the current weekly scheduler for the SMA.

As Acting Team Leader for the Lower Mining Block, I am responsible for providing technical leadership to a multidisciplinary Technical Services team at George Fisher Mine. It is my job to ensure that all work is done safely, to a high quality and on time to ensure compliance to schedule and budget targets. Working on conjunction with the long term,support and operations departments we will enable the safe delivery of the Business Plan. This role requires ownership of the mine schedule, ensuring effective and safe execution of mine plans. As an active leader in all underground inspections, the tracking of actuals against plan and continuous improvement projects, my main goal is to drive the team to success and to create an atmosphere that challenges the norm and strives for improvement.

As a mine planning engineer for Glencore it is my responsibility to provide optimal planning and mine designs whilst ensuring all Australian Acts, Regulations and Standards are met to provide a safe workplace. It is also my responsibility to be aware of critical risks or opportunities in my assigned area to ensure the schedule has up to date and accurate information. As a mine engineer of the lower mining block it is also my responsability to ensure that mining using the staggered double lift sequence results in cost effective ore recovery. I am also held accountable for new optimized development and drill & blast designs.

I was scheduling the Rocky's Cutback 1 as well as Venus development. My duties also consisted of completing and tracking closeout plans for all levels in the Perseverence Orebody, and scoping out and developing work steps for new development take off areas in the mine towards the Venus orebody.

Scheduling and technical control of all drill & blast activities, monitoring, & reporting of blasting as well as providing technical support to the Production Foreman to ensure the supply of nickel ore to the ROM.

EIT in charge of auditing the "Heart" 405 Upper orebody at Creighton #9 shaft. I was responsible for auditing vent flows as well as assisting the Ventilation engineer in designing air cricuits for the Deep. I was fortunate enough to design and implement a number of new headings and permanent infrastructure circuits and was responsible for updating all emergency plans, mine plans and VNet PC updates.
