After working twelve years to build a career at Wake Forest University School of Medicine (WFUSM) in North Carolina, personal life changes took me to Texas. I spent the most recent chapter of my life raising two children and managing our household while my spouse worked away from home 80% of the year. Now located in Virginia, I am currently seeking a new career and look forward to the changes and challenges a new opportunity will bring. It has been over a decade and refreshers are needed; however, my professional history is highly varied. I am adaptable, curious, a quick learner, and have a strong work ethic. Specifics to my former position at WFUSM include the coordination, quality control, and editing of online continuing education for health care providers. This position required proofreading skills, database management, data analysis, and user training. One special project included the research study, data analysis and educational content development of the first online education course for physicians in regards to herbs and dietary supplements. This study and resulting analysis was published in PubMed in April, 2006 and I was honored to be included in the authorship because my involvement was vital to the success of the study. Prior to taking a more technical route within the same department, I was instrumental in the coordination and evaluation analysis of 30+ continuing education events annually; therefore, my experience in event coordination is extensive. Since leaving those positions and while being a full-time parent, I have remodeled a home (currently working on the second), coordinated a wedding and several large parties, and discovered I love being artistically creative in many ways. Utilizing my extensive organization skills, I have also helped families reorganize their homes to be more functional and efficient. I mention these experiences because they each require a different skill-set, which I can provide when given the opportunity. I am excited to refocus my strengths professionally and expand these skills in a new environment.Skills/specialties: *editing, proofreading, and formatting*online education planning, development, accreditation, and evaluation*patience to train inexperienced users *insight to route out flaws in datasets or kinks in system flow and efficiency*familiar with database management and visualization using SQL and Tableau*event planning and coordination*curious, strong, and mature work ethic
