Created key visuals for social channels, augmented reality experiences, and website design for multiple existing and prospective clients. Select clients included JBL Audio, Panasonic Avionics, K-Y, and Samsung.Foundation, Barbarian's gender equality group, continues to thrive since its inception at the start of 2019. We hosted workshops, trainings, and webinars around topics such as micro-aggressions in the workplace, collaborated with HR to update and better our parental leave policy, partnered with external organizations such as the Sylvia Rivera Law Project, She Runs It, and NYU, and maintained Barbarian's gender 50/50 split through continued hiring efforts. Following a comprehensive assessment of our culture, work, and policies, Barbarian just recently became one of eight agencies to be 3% Certified. We are proud to keep company with the agencies most dedicated to making our industry more inclusive and equitable.I also cofounded the Die Trying Collective, an internal coalition of Barbarians who have set out to explore and create unique technology-based efforts towards sustainability, and to educate those at Barbarian and beyond about how even our smallest actions impact our environment. What started as an internal user experience workshop turned into a much larger project after seeking and identifying key issues we could improve upon as an agency and as a society. With the help of an industrial designer, we developed SUD (Sustainable Utensil Dispenser) which tracks our progress on saving plastic utensils by utilizing metal. From there, our data is collected and visualized on our website, and our progress, plus the progress of our clients who plan to be eventual SUD owners, can be compared and used as a motivational tool to run more conscious and sustainable offices. Worked with tight-knit team to reposition and embolden JBL brand across all digital platforms. Ideated, developed, and art directed campaigns for product launches and holidays, created continuous social and web components, and produced an augmented reality digital experience. Communicated with and presented directly to JBL advertising managers, as well as led photoshoots and other projects. Ideation, art direction, and design for other clients included GE, Essie, and Samsung. A team of five women, including myself, created Foundation, a group whose mission is to fuel exceptional cultural change in advertising for gender equality. We are building an inclusive, transparent community internally and with sister agencies. To do so, we are developing a career planning process, a mentorship program, and hosting internal and external events, trainings, and webinars. Our goals are to ensure Barbarian’s gender split remains 50/50 and to continue working towards becoming 3% Certified.
