When I was sixteen years old I began as a normal team member. A short few months later I was given the opportunity to receive my "black shirt" and become a Senior Team Member. My responsibilities grew and I began leading others. This was a task I never thought I could handle, but with the right people by my side I was able to excel. A few years later, after going through many breaks to attend college, I was promoted to Team Leader. This came with a lot more responsibility, such as handling money and leading an entire team on my own. I was not in this position too long. I quickly was promoted to Assistant Manager. In this role I had the responsibilities any other manager would carry. I ran shifts, solved issues, handled money, and took care of our guests. I have come to learn many areas in the business, and am continuing to grow. In recent months I became a full time manager and have started to understand areas of the business I may not already be an expert on. I also began to work with the marketing director and enter a whole new area of the restaurant I do not already know. In 2018 I became the Director of Operations. With this came all of the responsibilities of a General Manager. I oversaw the entire restaurant, including team members and leaders. I had my hands in every aspect of the restaurant. -

I was known as a normal Team Member at this location, but I was able to excel and demonstrate my knowledge and experience while I was here. My previous experience allowed me to take over drive-thru responsibilities. I was able to quickly get orders through and did such in a polite and welcoming manner. I was only at this location for a year because I relocated back to my home town and transferred colleges, but it was a great opportunity to work in a similar yet different environment and meet new people. I was able to learn a lot and bring new ideas back to my other workplace. -

I was shy and unable to communicate well with other and this job quickly allowed me to change. It was at a different setting than normal because it was located in the mall, so I was able to have a unique experience. I use the things I learned here at my current job today and will always remember the time I spent there.
