About Jessica Booth
I realize this is a total cliche, but I have known I've wanted to be a writer since before I could remember. If you don't believe me, you can watch the many home videos my parents have that show me telling creative stories to my teddy bears before I even understood what I was actually saying. In high school, I discovered the school newspaper, and fell in love with the fast-paced world of journalism. News reporting was never my thing, but I knew immediately that I wanted to write for a women's magazine. As the Internet became more popular (yes, I am that old), and the digital world started to overtake the print world, I shifted my focus towards becoming a web editor. I'm currently living my dream as the Lifestyles Editor of Gurl.com, where I get to write every day about almost any topic I would like, (hopefully) inspire young women and make them feel happier with themselves, and get to play with a lot of fun beauty products on my own time. I also love cats.
