To be a key initial contact for learners and employers regarding our training courses and opportunities. Manage candidate load for courses and sift assessments and eligibility for courses. Build, develop and maintain relationships with employers and learners.

My role involved monitoring job applications, setting up interviews involving liaising with the students and employers, overseeing assessments and also feeding back the outcomes of interviews and assessments. I also personally undertook the interviews and ran assessment centres for the company I recruited for. This involved working closely with and developing relationships with external employers, internal staff as well as students.

During my time as a business advisor, I provided information, support, coaching, advice and guidance to the wider business development team in relation to graduate job opportunities. I reported and analysed the quality, locations and industries of jobs being advertised within the University to identify gaps in the market and where we needed to increase employer engagement and relationships for subject areas that were lacking opportunities.

I worked as a recruitment executive in the Further Education sector, which consisted of liaising with employers and building relationships with them through which they then provide work opportunities for students at the College. This involved arranging meetings with employers, attending events such as jobs fairs and other work related events. It also involved marketing for the recruitment team and presenting group talks and inductions to promote our services.
