Worked for the Species at Risk Branch of the Ministry of Natural Resources. Interpreted and responded to questions regarding Ontario Regulation 242/08 under the Endangered Species Act, 2007. Aided in coordinating, conducting and facilitating a three day regulation training session for MNR staff. Gained an understanding of enforcement procedures and the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act. Researched potential for reducing energy consumption in the Kingston water distribution system. Worked in collaboration with the Queen’s University School of Policy Studies, the Queen’s University Faculty of Civil Engineering and Utilities Kingston. Presented research at the Water Research Centre Student Symposium at Queen’s University. Collected data, phoned relevant institutions/businesses, completed Microsoft Excel calculations.
