Having worked in Oracle's Construction and Engineering business since the Textura acquisition in 2016, I've moved from a narrow focus of one specific platform into the consulting team for our broader suite, including Aconex, Primavera, and Unifier.

Following several years working with Textura and it's clients, and developing my knowledge of the platform and industry, I moved into a more sales-oriented consulting role. As a sales consultant for Textura, I worked with construction companies of all sizes to assess their payment management needs, then worked closely with them to ensure their implementation was smooth and they had the best possible experience using the software. Alongside this, I developed sales and marketing content for the Textura Australia team.

Textura Corporation was acquired by Oracle as of August 2016. When I started, Textura Australasia was a small, regional branch of the US-based Textura Corporation, which had many cloud SaaS solutions supporting the construction industry. In Australia, our key product is Textura Payment Management, which facilitates and automates the exchange of payments and payment-related documentation between Builders and Subcontractors.We're a small team, and share a wide range of responsibilities. In my time at Textura and Oracle, I've worked across the full scope of our product; from helping to design and test new features, through creating documentation and marketing materials, to on-boarding and managing accounts and users. Along the way I've delivered presentations to prospects, customers and colleagues alike, and co-ordinated several projects.

As a videogame devotee in my offtime, when a friend put me in contact with The Roar's new esports editor I was more than happy to throw myself into writing about the teams I love (and the teams I love less). Watching each match with purpose brought me newfound appreciation for the game, and making regular contributions was an ongoing lesson in prioritising information in busy weeks, and building interest in more minor things during quiet weeks.

Aegis Communications is a business processing operations call centre outsourcer, and for a period of around eight months, I was moved into complaints management. During this time I supported residential, Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman, and Telstra subsidiary complaints.TIO and residential complaints have customer satisfaction and resolution time frame expectations. I met resolution expectations and had exceedingly good customer feedback; over 95% of my customers became attractors for Telstra. Case management has the opportunity to provide proper support to a customer who needs it desperately, after not being provided the support they should be able to expect from a telecom giant. TIO complainants have felt driven to go that step further, and it is immensely satisfying to be able to help someone in that situation.Towards the end of my time at Aegis, I was the sole representative assigned to a support email queue where the inbox had not had someone assigned for several months. I was able to clear the backlog within a couple of weeks, and continued to support these in addition to my usual roles.
