Ongoing Projects Include:• Member of curatorial committee for the Museum of the City of New York’s “You Are Here,” an immersive 16-screen experience, on display through 2025, and drawn from 600 movies about NYC made over the past century, produced by Radical Media ("Summer of Soul"), which was deemed "the best movie in NYC" by AM New York.• Curator of “New York on Film: Decade by Decade,” a yearlong centennial film, speaker, and performance series for the Museum of the City of New York spanning the 1920s to the 2020s (June 2023-May 2024).• Curator of “Let the Record Show: Archived Cinema,”(November 3-9th, 2023), "Passing You By: Imposterism on Film" (August 9th-15th, 2024), and "Big Apple's Littlest Bites: Coming of Age on Film in NYC" (November 8th-14th, 2024), for the Brooklyn Academy of Music.• Impact producer for Nesa Azimi's "DRIVER" and dream hampton's "It Was All a Dream," which both had their premieres at the 2024 Tribeca Film Festival.

• Managed and grew Chromatic Black’s Ida B. Wells Fund, which supports Black filmmakers.• Provided leadership and strategic thinking for Chromatic Black’s signature programs. • Represented the collective at public events.

Houston, Texas Area

• Responsibilities included curatorial and programmatic oversight of the Houston Cinema Arts Film Festival, and Houston Cinema Arts Society year-round programming, which also included Sundance Institute partnership and annual Black Media Story Summit-Texas, in partnership with Black Public Media and Austin Film Society. • Key driver in securing funding support, including from HEB and Sundance. • Houston Cinema Arts Festival made MovieMaker Magazine's "25 Coolest Film Festivals in the World for 2021" list under my creative leadership. First time HCAF makes the list in its 13 year history, and first time any festival in Houston made this highly regarded list.• Conceived and launched Borders | No Borders, an annual, short film competition for filmmakers with close ties to Texas, bordering states, or Mexico.

• Directed original programming and community and industry space rentals for this independent, non-profit, documentary-focused cinema in Harlem, founded by legendary filmmaker Albert Maysles (1926-2015) in 2008.• Secured Oscar-qualifying status for venue in 2016, working with AMPAS representatives and overseeing theater renovations and equipment upgrades. Oscar qualifying runs included I Am Not Your Negro, Making the Five Heartbeats, Earthrise, the Panama Papers, Fail State and This is Congo. • Managed all aspects of off-site programming, collaborating with partners such as the Studio Museum, the Apollo Theater, the Film Society of Lincoln Center, The Museum of the City of New York, and Summerstage.• Conceived and wrote successful grant proposals for the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, the West Harlem Development Corporation, New York City’s Department of Cultural Affairs, the New York State Council on the Arts, HBO, and Target, among other funders.• Provided vision and leadership for the inclusion of Maysles Cinema in “Best of New York” lists in New York Magazine, the Village Voice, and Time Out New York, as well as profiles in the New York Times and the recent book Tiny New York.• Oversaw community outreach, marketing, and management of cinema staff. Co-Director September 2008 – June 2011 • Co-directed all programming with artist Philip Maysles, son of filmmaker Albert Maysles, starting with the Cinema’s inception in 2008.• Awarded $75,000 Union Square Award with Philip Maysles in 2010 in recognition of exceptional leadership of a community-based arts organization.

Co-Founder and Owner 1994 – 2001• Co-conceived, founded and was a partner in this NYC based, independent, monthly Hip-Hop magazine, the first to feature Jay-Z on the cover. Editor-at-Large 1999 – 2001• Procured, edited and wrote content. Edited Psalms 26:7, an ongoing column by Tony Award winner Suheir Hammad (Def Poetry Jam on Broadway).Editor-in-Chief 1998 – 1999• Led the creative development and execution of all Stress editorial content.• Conceptualized and produced all magazine covers, including a “Clockwork Orange” themed Eminem cover cited as one of the greatest Hip-Hop magazine covers of all time by Complex.com. The cover is also included in Vikki Tobak's 2018 book, Contact High: A Visual History of Hip Hop, on the most significant Hip Hop portrait photographs of all time. Executive Editor 1997 – 1998• Managed creative development of copy and assisted Editor-in-Chief in cover development. Senior Editor 1995 – 1997• Conceived, developed, managed, wrote and edited one third of the editorial content.
