The Transfusion Technology division of Fresenius Kabi incorporates world leading technologies in the field of Transfusion and blood therapies such as the AMICUS Apheresis platform. AMICUS is licensed for platelet collection as well as a range of therapies such as MNC collection, Plasma Exchange and Red Cell Exchange. I work directly with Hospitals and with NHSBT to deliver these services to patients all over the country. I provide valuable sales, product and clinical application support to customers within Haematology, Oncology, Neurology, Blood Transfusion and Hospital Laboratories.

I worked predominantly with CATS, Fresenius Kabi's autotransfusion device. Autotransfusion is the process of collecting the blood a patient loses during surgery so it can be processed, cleaned and the red cells packed for reinfusion. CATS is unique in the field of autotransfusion as it is completely volume independent, meaning packed red cells are accessible almost immediately and can be processed and retransfused simultaneously to the collection of shed blood. I worked with accounts across the North of England to provide clinical application support and training in theatre with CATS, across many different surgical disciplines such as Cardiothoracic, Orthopaedic, Vascular, Paediatric and Obstetrics.

Covering Greater Manchester and Yorkshire, I was responsible for the sales and marketing of Covidien's innovative Biologics products to the NHS and private sector. I focused on Permacol, the market leading acellular, cross-linked, porcine dermal collagen matrix for complex abdominal wall repair.

I worked in the Urology division of Olympus selling their complete range of upper and lower tract surgical urology equipment, as well as their latest HD camera system for laparoscopic surgery. I worked with some of the world leaders in laparoscopic radical prostatectomy to promote the HD EndoEYE, a pioneering, HD video laparoscope. I exceeded my sales targets every year I worked for Olympus.
