Partnered with metal injection molders, plastics injection molders, as well as actuator developers, aluminum manufacturers, 3D printers, metal fabricators, and the like. Opened and lead a new US manufacturing and field operations unit serving the nation’s largest citrus growers. Developed and managed 75+ contracts for food, beverage, paper/plastic consumables, chemical, small wares, services, chemical and energy. Worked closely with Operations, Culinary and Marketing for new menu development calendar projects and execution. Lead multiple new formula, product change-over and LTO projects. Managed 1-2 day JIT program for all BOM components and formulas in food service environment producing 3,000 to 5,000 meals per day. Managed stock-levels for replenishment and forecasted with industry seasonality, rolling calendars and monthly menu cycle incremental changes. Oversaw all purchasing of OME, MRO, chemicals, direct and indirect operational stock. Developed contract programs with broad liners, brokers and other vendors to ensure best price, quality and consistency for all food categories: dry goods and grocery, pastry, raw proteins, produce, dairy, seafood, gourmet specialty, beverage, RTE meals and frozen. Reduced department F&B/Paper KPI for COGS from 42% to 36% within 8 months, surpassing the corporate goal of 38%, by removing non-value-added activities, improving inventory management, data cleansing ERP, and reviewing bottom-line cost savings opportunities. Responsible for all COGS and worked cross-functionally with the finance team to analyze P&L statements for budget development. Identified a 33% packaging cost reduction through vendor management, JIT programs and CI efforts, equating in over $1.73 million in year 1. Found 27% savings in the centralization of indirect material procurement. Increased customer demand attainment from 60% to 97% in 6 months.
