In the fall of 2023, I interned with First Franklin Financial while taking classes at Florida State University. I worked under three financial advisors who taught me the ins and outs of financial management. In the summer of 2022 I interned with NYC’s largest landlord SL Green Realty Corp. During my time here I was exposed to different branches such as underwriting, construction, and property management.Underwriting- Underwrote 12 commercial properties over the duration of the internship. - Participated in construction tours to ensure accuracy and a thorough understanding of buildings.- One underwritten building was acquired by the company, with tenants expected to move in by August 2024.Property Management- Assisted on mid year budget re-forecast for building operational and capital expenses.- Filed certificates of insurance for different vendors of tenants and SL Green construction bids.- Attended leasing walkthroughs, construction bidding meetings, capital project meetings, and weekly team and portfolio meetings.Construction- Built out construction schedule Gantt Chart and executive summary.- Received back of house tours from chief engineers and explanations of building systems like HVAC towers and chillers, mechanical/elevator rooms, and electrical system.
