• Receiving, reviewing and qualifying commercial terms and conditions of tenders. • Responding to customers of qualified terms and conditions.• Negotiating of contract terms to reach an equal agreement to draw up a working contract. • Drawing up and reviewing of various contract agreements pertaining to standing contracts with customers. Examples of these agreements would be Consignments Agreements, Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreements, Lease Agreements, Machine Sales Contracts, Purchase Agreements, Conditions & Contract Agreements, Services Contracts, Spares Contracts, Distributor Agreements.

Daily tasks include but not limited to: • Manage and maintain a good office filing system. • Maintain integrity of the Procurement function by meeting high ethical standards and practices.• All purchasing matters, internal and external. • Responsible for requisition processing• Preparation, collation & obtaining approval on supplier lists.• Sourcing suppliers and maintaining supplier relationships. • Drawing up and issuing of enquiries. • Receiving and opening of bids.• Bid clarifications (telephonic, email and meetings if required)• Negations of discrepancies.• Commercial adjudications in parallel with technical adjudications. • Preparing final recommendations for award.• Preparing and issuing purchase order packages and amendments thereto. • Ensuring suppliers acceptance of orders is received.• Kick off meetings. • Assisting in payment authorisation to suppliers.• Requesting of bonds and verifying accuracy before issuing to accounts. • Ensuring all terms and conditions of contract are adhered too.• Recording of project information for the preparation of the Procurement Monthly Reports.• Assisting expeditors to ensure deadlines are met. • Applying penalties in conjunction with terms and conditions of contract. • Receiving defect notices from site and issuing defect reports to suppliers.• Following up with back charge notifications in relation to defect reports. • Preparation of purchasing standards, documentation and procedures.• Carrying out purchasing objectives and philosophies.• Creating, formulating, updating and issuing of purchasing operating plan.• Project close out.
