Jessica is a creative professional who moves freely between artistic, fundraising and project management roles. She has written successful grant applications totaling over 1M, created compelling business proposals and developed shareable social/marketing content. She is crafty storyteller who understands how to create a persuasive narrative across many platforms.Jessica’s professional roles include the Director of Operations for an arts-centered “creative spaces” business, Brooklyn Fire Proof, Inc., and also Executive Director for a 50-year-old non-profit media arts organization, the Millennium Film Workshop Inc. She has worked as an communcations and grant writing consultant for such organizations as the ILCSF in San Francisco, the Bay Area's How Women Lead, and Bay Area Music Program. As a screenwriter, Jessica's feature writing credits include A, B, C…MANHATTAN, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and screened at the Sundance Film Festival and GOING UNDER, a dark drama starring acclaimed theater and film actor Roger Rees. The film went to numerous festivals and had a brief theatrical release before being distributed on DVD. Jessica wrote and directed two short films, one of which, features a leading-role performance by Edward Norton (see website). Jessica’s screenplays have placed in numerous screenplay competitions and reached the finalist level in more than three. Jessica's latest feature collaboration, THE DRUMMER, was completed in 2020 and is scheduled for release in 2021 by 1091 Pictures.
