  • Dogshare.Com.Au
    Founder
    Dogshare.Com.Au Mar 2015 - Present
Jessica is a dog-loving business woman and the Founder of Australia's first dog sharing website, www.dogshare.com.au. The ingenious dog sharing platform is a godsend for busy dog owners and runs on a “you scratch my dog, I scratch yours” basis – where absolutely no money is exchanged, just the care of your beloved pooch. With a background in customer-focused business development, Jessica founded Dogshare after being frustrated at the cost and difficulty of giving her dog, Duke, the attention and care he deserved. Like so many pet owners, juggling a career with a family and life’s many commitments left less time for the much-loved Duke, a German Shorthaired Pointer, than she would have liked. After feeling guilty about not having the time to take the furry fellow on his twice-daily walks, Jessica struck a deal with a fellow dog-owning neighbour: She would walk both dogs in the morning, her neighbour would walk them in the evening. And so, the perfect dog sharing arrangement was born. But then Jessica’s neighbour moved away.Rather than trawl the streets for another suitable arrangement, Jessica figured there had to be an easier way of connecting loving dog owners with one another to help look after each other’s fluffy friends. Tapping into the growing trend of share commerce seen with the popularity of home-share holidays and community-shared cars, Jessica self-funded Dogshare, with a vision to create a service that centred on trust, community and providing the very best care for every Aussie dog.Jessica graduated with a DipBus in Marketing and PostGradCert in Public Relations at Swinburne University of Technology and now lives in Melbourne with her three sons, her partner and, of course, the goodest doggo, Duke.
