About Jessica January Behr, Psy.D.
I am Licensed Psychologist in New York, New Jersey and in PSYPACT states. I am the Founder and Director of Behr Psychology, a growing psychotherapy practice in NYC. Our highly skilled treatment team of psychologists and therapists provide individual, couples, family and group therapy as well as comprehensive psychological testing. I personally provide psychodynamic and integrative psychotherapy to adult clients, offer case consultation to our staff therapists and manage the overall operations of the practice. I have held previous professorships in the undergraduate and graduate departments at CUNY - Hunter College and Pace University respectively. I am trained in Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy through Cybin’s EMBARK program as well as Compass Pathways’ COMPanion Program.I am currently in psychoanalytic training at the C.G. Jung Institute - Zürich, Kusnacht, Switzerland studying Depth Psychology and working towards additional certification in Jungian Psychoanalysis. My clinical experience includes Inpatient and Outpatient Psychiatry, Consultation/Liaison Psychiatry, Psychiatric Emergency Room (CPEP), Primary and Secondary School Counseling, College Counseling, Admissions Assessment, Integrative Care, Community Mental Health, Clinical Trials and Private Practice.Previously, I served as a Strategic Advisor for Nirvana, a mental health tech company, where I supported the executive team on education and communication efforts to increase access to affordable mental healthcare and improve private practice therapist's operating experience through expanded out-of-network reimbursement for mental health services.
