I am a psychology graduate currently undertaking a MSc. in Applied Psychology while working in senior roles in the area of Autistic neurology, space analysis, sensory perception and NeuroAffirnative practice and design. I have a passion for bridging the gaps between theory, research and practice and engagement in psychological research, specifically Autistic neurology, and sensory-perceptual systems. I enjoy learning about predictive coding, specifically predictive processes within Neurodivergent brains.I am an out-of-the-box problem solver, highly inquisitive and innovative. I enjoy challenges and seek out opportunities for growth. I am analytical and critical with a strong sense of fairness. I am fastidious and systematic. I have a strength in uncovering and linking patterns. I am driven by a strong sense of responsibility and morality to help more people to develop their understanding of neurodiversity and what it means to be NeuroAffirmative, and to facilitate others to grow their own sensory self-awareness and awareness of different perceptions to theirs, I am motivated to think outside the box to reposition the lens away from trying to change the person or cover up their Authenticity in order to fit society but instead to celebrate diversity and focus on environmental modification and universal design from the start and all the way through. I enjoy linking and uncovering patterns, hypothesising and investigating theories and experimenting with translating findings into applicable practice. Such applications include my (work in progress) prototype outdoor sensory space designed to be optimal for an autistic system by minimising uncertainty while enabling vestibular and proprioceptive input, fresh air and exercise.I like to live in the moment, and while I do love to work I also enjoy balance and my daily breaks from work involve walking outside and listening to that electric buzz of life, of little feet and little leaves, crushing twigs, breaking rustling in the trees, across the grass, the vibration of little wings breaking from the flight and the steady melodic squawks of birds, interrupted by talking to the cows in the field and or going for walks with my two cats Astro and Owli. I also enjoy swimming and most recently have started to get great benefit cognitively and psychologically from going to the gym kind of regularly. I recognise now that I do some of my best thinking and innovating when in the pool or lifting little weights.
