-During my time at Career Services, I have consistently provided career coaching and guidance to students enrolled in the College of Applied Arts with majors spanning into the Integrated Ag Sciences department, Criminal Justice, Family and Consumer Sciences, Organization, Workforce, and Leadership Studies Department, Social Work, the Department of Aerospace Studies, and Military Science. My commitment extends across a broad spectrum of populations, ensuring tailored support for students pursuing varied career paths within these academic domains.- I collaborate with faculty and staff within the college to integrate career development components into the academic curriculum and departments.- I develop and curate career resources tailored to the unique needs of Applied Arts students pursing careers in various industries, ensuring they have the tools and resources they need to excel in today's job market.- I frequently deliver engaging presentations on resume building, strategies for job searching, and interview preparation, equipping students with the essential skills for success.-I work closely with other Career Services staff and university departments to implement career initiatives, ensuring an integrated approach to student career development.-I've created the College of Applied Arts Career Pop-Ups to provide students with on the spot career planning services in designated academic buildings

- My role as a Career Coach revolved around empowering and guiding a diverse clientele of 100-260 individuals towards achieving their educational, training, and career aspirations. Through a combination of personalized one-on-one interactions, both in person and virtually, I fostered an environment of growth and progress by identifying services needed to support their participation in our program.- During my time at Goodwill, I became a Certified Financial Coach to be able to provide our clients with coaching in financial areas as needed that included: saving and long-term planning techniques, budgeting, banking options/opportunities, credit checks and repair, while also referring clients to internal trainings for financial support.- I coordinated and facilitated workshops at various store sites. These workshops provided individuals with the tools and insights necessary to create well-defined career plans, empowering them to pursue their professional dreams with confidence.- I actively conducted outreach to collaborate with both internal programs and external partners to connect clients with relevant trainings and services tailored to their unique career trajectories. This approach ensured that our clients received a well-rounded support system for their growth and development while also assisting in maintaining their employment stability.

- In my role as a Career Associate, I engaged with a diverse range of students, offering indispensable support in their journey towards career success. Through conducting over 10 one-on-one advising meetings weekly, I connected with students from various backgrounds, providing invaluable insights into career exploration and interview preparation.- I actively listened to students' concerns and offered viable solutions, while also promoting excellent communication skills, professional email etiquette, and adept problem-solving abilities. This ensured not only their satisfaction but also facilitated the resolution of any challenges they encounter.- By recognizing the significance of a strong application profile, I meticulously reviewed and provided personalized critiques for more than 40 resumes, cover letters, and graduate applications each week. Utilizing tools like Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat Reader, I collaborated with students to enhance their documents, empowering them to stand out in a competitive job market.- I engaged with employers, students, and alumni, showcasing the valuable resources and support that our department offered.-Playing a pivotal role in on-boarding new Career Associates, I actively contributed to the training of 10 student employees and equipped them with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in their new roles

- I had the privilege of contributing to the nurturing environment of multiple classrooms, encompassing a diverse range of ages from 8 months to 5 years old.- With a genuine passion for child development, one of my key responsibilities was to collaborate with the teaching team to conceptualize and implement a variety of activities tailored to meet the unique physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of each child. This creative and thoughtful approach aimed to provide a comprehensive learning experience that fostered their growth and development in all dimensions.
