Working alongside the VP of Development, assist and guide the revenue generation team in meeting increasing cash and pledge goals. Lead the prospect research and moves management team to ensure prospects are continuously being discovered and donors are moving through the cultivation cycle. As a member of the Development department's senior management team, I was responsible for the overall supervision of the information infrastructure and services that support the revenue generation, as well as data needs for the rest of the alumni association. I oversaw the management of data within Raiser’s Edge, the association's database and maintained a lead role in the migration to Blackbaud CRM. In my position, I also supervised the areas of gift accounting, report writing, prospect research, and data services. A major focus was prospect management (including the identification and qualification of prospects and monitoring the progression of prospects through the cultivation cycle) as well as the coordination of data and wealth screenings and providing giving capacity estimates for major gift prospects, donors, alumni, parents, and friends. I met regularly with the frontline fundraisers to ensure portfolios were clean and showing movement and the proper coordination was happening between the various revenue generating departments. Additionally, I worked closely with colleagues in IT, Finance, and the Directorate of Academy Advancement (DAA) to ensure proper coordination and reconciliation, including the process of proffering (how money moves from the alumni association to the U.S. Military Academy). I was also the main author and editor of Development's gift policy manual, the liaison to the Gift Acceptance Committee, and Development's representative on the Policy Task Force.Fundraising Duties:-Work closely with the Director of Major Gifts on strategy and moves management as well as assist in solicitations where knowledge of organizational procedures, IRS regulations, or other related expertise is required.-Directly solicit five-figure gifts, develop and manage annual solicitations, and steward donors as the point of contact for the Chemistry and Life Sciences and Civil and Mechanical Engineering departments and the West Point Parachute Team.

Built a new alumni program for a legendary, progressive university comprised of eight distinct schools. Successfully re-launched The New School Alumni Association, which included a communications and branding strategy, and recruited the first members of the board of directors. Also launched the first successful regional chapters and solicited and raised funds for the first group alumni scholarship. During my tenure the good address rate and number of alumni donors increased significantly.

-Prepared profiles on donors and prospects for the president of the university.-Calculated wealth capacity ratings and projected ask amounts for prospects.-Worked with the Directors of Development of each division to develop new prospect lists and fundraising strategies.

-Prepared in-depth memos for the president of the organization to prepare her to meet with foundations and corporations.-Conducted research on corporate philanthropy, social responsibility, and environmental records and made suggestions about whether to approach a company for funding.

Provided support for four senior staff in the Corporate and Foundation Relations unit, assisted in the preparation of letters of inquiry, grant requests, and grant reports, and managed an annual fund for corporate and foundation donors of $1,000-10,000 including the preparation of solicitations, prospecting, and stewardship of donors.
