Jessica Malone Latham, M.A., is a San Diego born poet, writer and translator. Her haiku, haibun, senryu, and tanka have appeared in dozens of journals and anthologies. In addition to writing poetry of all forms, her prose has been featured on NPR’s local station, Brain, Child, Literary Mama, Mamalode, Mothering, SpeakMom and Tiny Buddha, including Tiny Buddha’s 365 Tiny Love Challenges (HarperOne, 2015).The birth of Jessica’s two sons has fueled much of her writing. She is the author of Cricket Song: Haiku and Short Poems from a Mother's Heart. She has written and presented in mothering circles about the importance of writing our stories of motherhood. She values attachment parenting, child respect, simplicity, Waldorf approaches and various other methods that encourage consciously looking at ourselves, and the way we treat children.Prior to parenthood, Jessica’s work primarily focused on daring to live with passion, authenticity and love, which birthed her blog, featuring poetry, prose and interviews of people walking their own unique paths.Jessica continues to publish and write in addition to create visual stories with high class, regional and global photographers.
