About Jessica Higginbotham
I am a graduate of the University of South Florida where I studied Health Management. During my time at USF, I gained leadership experience through both the Panhellenic community and Bulls For Kids. While in undergrad I volunteered hundreds of hours at AdventHealth, where I gained administrative, human resources, physician services, and emergency planning skills. I served as a medical assistant to psychiatry and behavioral health at Florida Medical Clinics before pursuing a career in EHR. After a vigorous year of EHR tech support with CPSI in 2022, I accepted an offer to become a Behavioral Health consultant at Nextgen where I now configure databases and foster a seamless transition for clients who have purchased Nextgen software. I hold a passion for health management and grow increasingly dedicated to bridging information gaps in day-to-day healthcare transactions. My learning journey is still continuing and my goal is to be the best advocate possible for both patients and healthcare workers.
