Worked as part of the Child Health Quality team to develop, launch, and implement initiatives. Work with staff and external consultants to conduct analysis, both qualitative and quantitative, to support program needs. Provide technical assistance to states, health plans and other related health organizations. Write and edit internal and external publications and presentations, and lead the day-to-day management of assigned program initiatives.- Provided oversight and management to CHCS’ contracted tasks as part of the National Training and Technical Assistance Center in collaboration with Maryland School of Social Work’s Institute for Innovation and Implementation.- Co-led a team developing, launching, and providing technical assistance to 5 selected state child welfare agencies through a learning collaborative to address psychotropic medication use among children. - Provided technical assistance to 7 safety-net health plans participating in the Improving Access to SBIRT Services for Adolescents quality improvement collaborative focused on incorporating SBIRT into primary care practices for at-risk teens. Developed and implemented the quality improvement framework and project evaluation to track progress and managed project modifications.

Worked directly with the Superintendent of Schools serving as the district’s spokesperson, developed and maintained excellent working relationships with members of the school community, related external agencies and departments. Managed all facets of strategic communication, media, and government relations programs, using all available mediums. Utilized traditional and digital electronic communications media to enhance communications between the schools and the community.- Co-Chaired the Budget Task Force, which led to the successful passage of the 2009-2010, 2010-2011 and 2011-2012 school budgets as well as the passage of a $55.9 million school facilities referendum in December 2009. Managed a group of 25 parent volunteers liaising with the community advocating for support of the budget.- Led a group of township officials to organize and manage the H1N1 Program to vaccinate students and their younger, non-school aged siblings, which resulted in inoculation of more than 1,500 children. Developed and disseminated a survey to the parent community to identify the number of doses needed and worked with township and district nurses to ensure proper staging and setup of the clinics.

Developed and implemented legislative agenda and strategic work plan for the state fiscal year and monitored state legislation, regulations, and policies. Conducted public policy advocacy trainings and coordinated advocacy activities with twenty local Chapters, families and self-advocates.- Key strategist on advocacy campaign to save Medicaid beneficiaries more than $15 million in State Fiscal Years 2007 and 2008 and increasing community provider contracts by 3% in State Fiscal Year 2008.- Successfully advocated to preserve full funding for New Jersey’s Early Intervention System, including funding for anticipated growth of $97 million for State Fiscal Year 2008.
