Recruited to open new procedure suite consisting of three rooms seeing up to sixteen patients per day and conducting Bone Marrow (BM) aspirates and biopsies and Lumbar Punctures for chemotherapy administration. Responsible to develop operational workflows, policies and procedures, competency standards, and to train and on-board staff. Report to the Physician Leader of the Hematology Malignancy Service and lead a team of three staff. Serve as lead clinician and liaison to Senior Leadership.Key Accomplishments:• Led improvement initiative to decrease need for repeat BM aspirates due to poor quality of pathology slides. Identified cause of poor slides and established new standard of care to correct; created and conducted training for PA and medical assistant staff.• Participated in the development and implementation of a moderate sedation program including a Joint Commission-compliant documentation system and appropriate quality control measures.
