I loved playing maze games as a child. You know, “help Sally reach her lollipop,” “help the space alien make it back to his ship,” that kind of thing. I enjoyed the maze challenge, sometimes having to turn back and try another way to reach the end, and sometimes more than once. As I matured, I realized that life is the same way. Sometimes, we follow a path for a while and know it’s leading to a dead-end, so we turn around and reroute ourselves.I was a Police/911 Dispatcher for 15 years and have worked in health insurance for six years. Talk about a change in direction! As a Dispatcher, I won an award for helping our police officers through an incident with a felon who shot and killed one of our K9s. I won multiple customer service awards when I started my health insurance career, and I’ve been promoted three times in three years since then. My newest adventure is learning medical coding. I love the maze of life and embracing new challenges.
