I am an educational psychologist with expertise in evaluation, measurement, psychometrics, assessment, curriculum design, accreditation, and applied linguistics. I am an experienced leader in the field of higher education assessment, accreditation, and evaluation. Dunn-Rankin Scholarship for Research in Educational Psychology, the 2014 Innovation and Transformation Award from the College of Education at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa (UHM) for my work developing the college's Measuring Our Success website, and the 2012 Harry Whitten Prize for Scholarly Excellence by the Department of Second Language Studies, UHM.

The Fulbright Scholar Program is designed to expand and strengthen relationships between the people of the United States and citizens of other nations and topromote international understanding and cooperation. Dr. Miranda will conduct a professional project, “Reframing Assessment as a Tool for Equity in the Higher Education Outcomes of Indigenous Students.” This project promotes the development of a global assessment framework as a tool for advancing equity and access to higher education for indigenous students.
