Hi, my name is Jessica Martin! I am a graduate student at NYU's School of Professional Studies. I am pursuing a M.S. in Event management.I recently graduated from Monmouth University with a B.A. in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations. During my time at Monmouth, I was a Resident Assistant for three years working with upperclassmen. I was promoted to Head Resident Assistant for two consecutive years. I was responsible for overseeing Monmouth-affiliated housing including traditional dorms, suites, and apartments.At Monmouth University, I was elected as the chapter president for Monmouth University's PRSSA chapter: Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) https://www.monmouth.edu/department-of-communication/student-organizations/prssa/I have previously worked at The Lawrenceville School in Lawrenceville, NJ, as the Office Manager for the Auxiliary Programs Department. Thanks to this experience, I possess excellent customer service skills in-person, via telephone, and remotely. My conflict management skills have flourished in my experience in this position.Recently, I gained restaurant experience working as a hostess and server at Tuzzio's Italian Cuisine in West Long Branch, NJ, and the Tom's River Country Club in Toms River, NJ. I have gained valuable experience in the food industry and customer service.I have participated in an internship with Pralique Event Design. I have gained incredible hands-on experience with event planning and design. My internship has concentrated on floral design and photography.I am seeking internships concentrating on event planning and public relations.
