Marketing strategy | Internal and external communications As the first marketing staff member La Causa had as a part of their Development Department, I did an assessment of their current state and immediate needs and collaborated with executive team members to develop a path forward. I began with a consistent communications strategy and building a consistent branded experience. This included photographing all organization events, creating a consistent social media presence, and designing printed communications. I conceptualized two publications, La Causa Connection – a staff newsletter connecting six divisions with 400 staff members - and La Cause Vision – a quarterly donor print newsletter, driving an increase in donor engagement.

Greenfield Farmers Market

Local food education and advocacy | Community engagement | Event coordinationAs the Greenfield Farmers Market was growing and becoming more well known in the community, there was a need for a Farmers Market Manager. This role was responsible for many logistics – onsite coordination, managing vendor expectation and collaborating with the committee. More importantly this role was the face of the market. It was about community engagement, connecting people to local food, education of what local food looks like, highlighting our farmers and their practices, and growing our reach.

Greenfield Health Department

Soon after I started my role as an Administrative Assistant with the health department, it was clear the team was looking for a dynamic team member to wear many hats. I co-led efforts to start a local farmers market, from researching industry standards, identifying growth opportunities, and execution of all planning efforts. I wrote and executed a public relations plan to increase family presence by 25% and collaborated with the committee to determine grassroots marketing strategies and materials. With a focus on efficiency, I collaborated to create a quality improvement plan to create better communication and staff coverage in our environmental health program, developed a communications calendar tool, and lead external communications with our farmers market committee.

Greenfield Finance Department

The first face one would see when entering the finance department, I processed a high volume of tax bill and sewer bill payments for a population of approximately 37,000 people. I re-envisioned and wrote the policy and procedures handbook for the department of ten people and trained and mentored new staff members.

Greenfield Police Department

I interacted with public on daily basis to handle complaints, listen to concerns, and direct constituents to appropriate resources. Internally, I was a resource for the officers, transcribing and editing incident reports, processing citation payments, and releasing records to the public.
